Fakin' Fest

Perhaps you’ve heard of the Baconfest happening in Portland this October?
Maeve and Jess are hosting their own damn vegan baconfest, or FAKINFEST.
It will be a potluck-style celebration of vegan bacon and bacon-flavored things.
aka, this is really a picnic with a cause! a point!
Please bring a blanket, a plate and utensils for yourself, and bacon-inspired food (and/or beverages) to share!
Don’t limit yourself to tempeh bacon, though we love it - there’s also tofu bacon, eggplant bacon and coconut bacon!
Maple fake bacon anything is welcome.
There will be two contests— Best Dish and Most Creative. We’re hoping for some pretty awesome prizes (Lightlife is donating smart and fakin bacon!) and vegan celebrity guest judges!
Also, a reading of fakin-themed haikus! Start writing folks!
Also, feel free to dress like your favorite pop culture pig.
There is a suggested $5 donation, to be given to Lighthouse Farm Sanctuary, which helps pigs and other farm animals!
