This is a very popular place, and I can see why. The outdoor seating is plentiful and great in summer. Bring a dog! There is also room for groups indoors.
The country fried tempeh is a huge hit, but my favorites are the mushroom burger (with vegan cheese), the Thai-coconut soup, and the lasagna with pesto sauce. Most things can be made vegan, just specify.

They have moved across the street so there is no longer outside seating and a rib/chicken place opened up in it's former place (kinda ironic there). Personally Vita Cafe is my favorite restaurant on the eastside and have eaten there dozens of times. I could eat a reuben and fries everyday of my life and be happy. The chicken fried steak and the corn cakes also rock.

There are a bounty of vegan options at the Vita, built to fulfill my need for comfort food. Also an easy restaurant for the vegan and the gluten-free to eat together. Hands down my favorite place to eat.
